Ready Player One is a 2018 American science fiction adventure film. In the year 2045, people can escape their harsh reality in the OASIS, an immersive virtual world where you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone-the only limits are your own imagination. OASIS creator, James Halliday left his immense fortune and control of the OASIS to the winner of a contest designed to find a worthy heir. When unlikely hero Wade Watts conquers the first challenge of the reality-bending treasure hunt, he and his friends-known as the High Five-are hurled into a fantastical universe of discovery and danger to save the OASIS and their world. The technology in this movie was used excessively because it is a virtual reality and people use technology as an escape from reality since you can be anyone or anything inside this. Technology in this year took over the world and people’s minds because of how people overuse it. Inside the oasis, there are a lot of different games and you can be a certain character inside. You can play and interact inside. The protagonist Parzival met friends inside the OASIS while trying to figure out how to win the challenge James Halliday left off. They then meet in real life and some of Parzival’s friends are a lot different from what they look like in the Oasis.
